Natalie Jackson brings over 25 years of experience working with families, children, educators, and the community. She has contributed her expertise to organizations like YMCA, Head Start, Preston Taylor Ministries, and United Way's Read to Succeed program, in addition to her 9 years at McNeilly. Holding a Master’s Degree in Education, Natalie has served as an Instructional Coach and Preschool Program Director at McNeilly, where she believes that a solid early education foundation is crucial for children's success later in life.

Shellie Fossick has been the Development Director for McNeilly Center for Children for 14 years. In that role she is responsible for all grant solicitations, special events and community partnerships, volunteer management, and the development and implementation of annual giving and major gifts campaigns. Shellie is passionate about providing high-quality early care and education for all children and is thankful for the McNeilly program that gave her own children (16 year old twins) a stronger start in school and in life.

Michael Pentecost has been a dedicated member of the McNeilly Center for Children for 24 years, serving as the Business Manager. He oversees the center's financial and administrative operations, playing a crucial role in its success. Michael finds joy in seeing children return with their own kids, reflecting the lasting impact of McNeilly. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family and actively supports the local food ministry center, demonstrating his strong commitment to his community.

Nancy McClellan is an educational leader with 25 years of experience in teaching and administrative roles. She holds both an undergraduate degree and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Early Childhood Education from Tennessee State University. Certified in Reading and SEL, Nancy is a strong advocate for educating the whole child and understanding individual needs. She also prioritizes professional development for teachers and staff, believing in the importance of growth in education.

With 27 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Jacklin Malone has spent the past year as the Instructional Coach at McNeilly Center for Children. In this role, she supports preschool teachers in implementing curriculum and helps both teachers and children learn self-regulation techniques through Conscious Discipline. Additionally, Jacklin provides guidance and support to families, fostering a strong school-family connection. Believing that every child is unique and learns at their own pace, she is committed to meeting children where they are and helping them grow from there.

Margertha is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She can’t remember a time when all things sports and science didn’t

fascinate her. She was able to combine both interests at Tennessee State University, where she accepted a track and field scholarship and majored in biology. Her specialties in track and field included the 400m, 4x400m relay, and the 400m hurdles. Margertha won 5 conference medals, made 2 appearances at the track and field NCAA tournament for the 400m hurdles, and completed her Bachelor’s in Cell Biology and Chemistry at Tennessee State. She also holds a Master’s in Biochemical Nutritional Sciences from the University of

Wisconsin-Madison.

Tiara Morton is a proud Nashville native with a deep-rooted passion for early childhood education. After spending several years in Memphis, where she earned her Master’s in Elementary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education, she is excited to return home to Nashville. During her time in Memphis, Tiara taught Kindergarten through 2nd grade for five years, gaining invaluable classroom experience.

Her journey in education began at Tennessee State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies. While completing her studies, she interned and worked in several early childhood centers and programs, building a strong foundation in early learning and child development.

Tiara is dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential and is thrilled to continue this mission in her role as Instructional Coach at McNeilly Center for Children.

Brittany Blackwell holds a Master’s degree in Education from Belmont University and brings over a decade of experience in the education field. Her passion lies in fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment where children and families feel supported every step of the way. Brittany believes that family engagement is key to a child's success and works diligently to create strong partnerships between educators and parents. Her commitment to early childhood education is driven by a desire to help every child reach their fullest potential, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed for a bright future.
