Center for Children

Nestled on five acres in historic McFerrin Park, McNeilly has been assisting families for over 100 years. At McNeilly Center for Children, our mission is clear: to nurture and educate young children while supporting their families, ensuring that every child—regardless of background—has access to high-quality early education. We strive to create a welcoming environment where diversity is celebrated and each child’s unique potential is realized.

Founded in 1916, McNeilly Center for Children has a rich history of serving the Nashville community. From our humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a leading provider of early childhood education, impacting the lives of thousands of children and their families. Our commitment to excellence and inclusivity has remained steadfast throughout our journey.

The McNeilly Center for Children is one of Middle Tennessee’s largest providers of quality child care for low-income families. McNeilly provides a need-based financial “scholarship” program based on a sliding scale and recognizes that the family is the foundation of every child’s life. McNeilly provides support services to help parents strengthen their parenting skills and assist families in solving problems, in addition to a providing a quality education.

Our team is the heart of McNeilly Center. Each member is dedicated to providing a nurturing, supportive, and educational environment for your child. Our educators are highly trained in early childhood development and bring a wealth of experience and passion to their classrooms.
